SENIOR PASTOR
JAMES A. GAMBRELL

 Elder James A. Gambrell is the founder and Senior Pastor of Kingdom Empowerment Family Worship Center, Inc established in 2010. Pastor Gambrell is a native from the city of Philadelphia, PA where he received his formal education. Singing and playing basketball are his passions.  During high school, he actively worked with the inner city youth for the Philadelphia Department of Recreation.  His proficiency on the courts, uncanny leadership abilities and humble spirit earned him respect in the community and city wide.  He obtained a basketball scholarship to Texas Tech University in Lubbock. In 1990, Pastor James joined Holy Temple Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia under the leadership of the late Bishop James D. Brinkley Sr., where he has faithfully served for 18 years.  He has served in many capacities during his tenure with Holy Temple Ministries including: Deacon, Minister, Evangelist, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Worship and Praise Leader, member of the Choir, Adjutant, Youth Leader, and whatever his hands found to do to up-build the ministry, the body and the Kingdom of God.  His final role was the Ministerial Department President.  He also attended Holy Temple’s Bible Institute.  He has worked in various managerial positions as well as a counselor with “at risk” teens for local group homes in addition to being a therapeutic foster parent.   Pastor James is a devoted husband to his wife, Executive Pastor Daniell Gambrell and a loving father to his four children and eight grandchildren. Pastor James Gambrell has been called and anointed to boldly proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to an unbelieving world as well as to edify and exhort those who do believe.  He is on a mission from God to empower and equip the people of God to become agents of change while building the Kingdom of God.
